ORIGINAL WWII German Late-War Fallschirmjager Helmet Shell and Bolts. This is an original shell and bolts. Marked faintly in the rear CKL68 and a lot nr. It has the late war flared rim characteristics and would never have had a decal. I believe there was a period overpaint of the original finish in a green color, followed a post war vet applied coat of lacquer inside and out. This accounts for the slight sheen, which is more pronounced in the photos than in hand. The bolts appear to be the original aluminum slot head style with the green overpaint on them with one nut each. Nice and scarce helmet shell worthy of restoration with an original liner and straps.
