Wwii German Army Splinter Pattern Helmet Cover
This is a very nice WWII German Army splinter pattern helmet cover that is in very good condition. The cover is constructed of splinter pattern material much like that of the army zeltbahn only a bit lighter in weight. The colors are still bright and not faded as normally encountered. All the loops for the addition of supplemental vegetation are still present. The original drawstring is still present and completely undamaged. The cover is reversible to a splinter pattern without any camo loops. There is a square ink stamping on the interior that is faded and now illegible. There are 3 or 4 holes present throughout that are the result of actual field/combat use and can be seen in the photos. This is a very scarce piece of Wehrmacht field gear and not too often encountered. It remains a fine looking example in very good, field used condition. NOTE: The helmet shown is not included in this sale. It was used to illustrate the shape and condition of the cover. The sale is for the cover only.
