Parade Antiques and Collectables. WWII German M40 Normandy Camouflage Helmet. A really nice looking original WWII German Army steel helmet Model 1940 with 3 tone camouflage paint as used in Normandy in 1944. The helmet is in good condition and is painted on the original green colour with sand and dark red brown. The helmet shell looks like a Quist and is stamped on the rear with the batch number S1001.., but doesn’t have a size stamp (may not have been struck sufficiently hard to register). There is an acceptance dome stamp on the inside of the shell. The Model 1931 liner is maker marked D. P and dated 1940. The leather liner is stamped size 56.
