REPRO – high quality material “Museum Grade” reproduction. WW2 DAK Afrika Korps M40 Helmet (although it has the stamp TSR66 on the “neck” of the helmet not the side). Not certain of the maker but TSR could be the initials of Thomas Sturm Rottenburg – the owner of Mil-Tec. The 2 tone chinstrap is complete – marked RB Nr. 0/0390/0204 (the buckles shape indicate M40). Has the National color decal (some flaking) and a “fantasy” Afrika Korp palm tree decal. Aluminum liner loop with 9 tongue soft leather liner. New with no tags. Please check photos and ask questions. All offers will be considered. Fantastic reproduction of the German M35 Helmet, as worn by Wehrmacht forces on entry into WW2. The M35 Helmet was largely based upon its WW1 predecessor, but with a few modifications for the new image and need of the Wehrmacht forces. They were the first helmets used by German troops at the beginning of WW2. The M35s have a rolled steel edge, later economised on the M42 model. These brilliant reproductions are made from a tough steel, 1.6mm like the originals, and have the correct shade of the field grey of Heer forces. They also come with a quality leather liner, with a leather drawstring and chin strap already attached. They are also marked with the shell size, with the “ET-66″ example in the linked photo denoting Eisenwerke Thale, the firm responsible for the original designing and manufacture of the helmets. We had them made in two different pot sizes allowing us to fit different liners, giving us sizes from 56-63cm! WW2 German M40 Helmet. Excellent Reproductions of the WW2 German M40 Helmet (Stahlhelm) and Liner. These reproductions are made from a tough steel and have a quality leather strap. The primary change from the M35 Helmets were to stamp the ventilator hole mounts directly onto the shell, rather than separate fittings. Reproduction Modern Copy of WWII German Paratrooper Helmet Good Quality. There are 36 photos, scroll past text to view. The shell I assume was made to look old as part of the overall look. No markings that I can see (I checked around the inner rim for stamps etc). If you look in the gap between the liner and shell you can see white string used to keep the liner in place it’s not what is holding the liner in place, it’s added support below where it adheres to the black foam. Just seeing the clear white string rules out any chance this is vintage (I suppose it could be related to a restoration of some kind but the helmet and liner to me are clearly modern era). I also “suppose” that it’s possible this is an actual issued helmet in a modern era that was made to look older on the shell exterior (but I’ll stick with it being a repro). It’s not easy to see in the photos but under the liner the black foam partially lines the interior of the shell between the shell and the leather liner. Overall though everything seems to be good quality. The straps connect to the shell via the spanner nuts whose faces are on the shell exterior. I’ll give size as measured with a tape the best I can. Shell inner dimensions are 8.5″ wide, 9-7/8″ front to back. The liner interior dimensions are 7″ wide and 8.25″ front to back. — See photos for condition details. — I don’t have a way to arrange for a local pick-up of this item, I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
