WW2 Romanian M39 steel Army helmet, Dutch M28 contract piece, factory painted Smooth Olive Green, these helmets were originally issued with the King Carol badge soldered to the front, this helmet has had the badge pried off after the King was overthrown. NO damage to the shell. The Romanian troops fought the Russians at and south of Stalingrad, enduring the harsh Russian winters with the Germans. The original Dutch M28 3 – pad liner has been replaced with German M31 liner leather, but 2 of the 3 felt pads from the original liner are still attached to the band. The liner band has some letters and numbers stamped into it in the forehead area. Complete with a Bulgarian M36 helmet chinstrap.
