Original WW2 German M40 helmet, size 66. Helmet is painted tan with brown and green accents over field gray-green. Interior is field gray-green. Fitted with “captured” allied camo net, rebuilt size 59 liner (original band and repro leather), and repro chinstrap. This helmet is a REPAINT. It has been stripped of post-war paint, repainted and aged to look authentic. Interior is marked REPAINT above left air vent. (Marking is hidden with liner in place). This is a WW2 German M38 Paratrooper helmet complete with liner and chinstraps. Size is 71 cm. Shell is painted field gray, overpainted sawdust textured tan, and sprayed with green. Paint has numerous chips, scratches, and wear. There are no decals. Helmet has late war slotted spanner bolts and is fitted with a WW2 Allied camo net. Entire helmet is a quality reproduction. Shell weight and thickness is the same as an original. Liner and straps are aged to match the shell. Painting and aging looks dead-on real whether viewed from across the room or in your hand.
