This is a NICE used example of an EARLY WW2 German Luftwaffe LKpW101 Fliegerkopfhaube fur Winter mit FT-Gerat (Winter Flight Helmet with Communication Equipment), Ln. 26618, as used by many German pilots throughout WW2! This is the MUCH RARER Rabbit Fur lined version! Made of leather, fleece, and rabbit fur, this helmet is in EXCELLENT used condition. There are no rips or tears, and the leather is still very soft and supple. All snaps, tabs, and buckles work correctly, and retain their original paint. All the electrics are 100% intact headphones, wiring except the avionics wire xoming out of the back has somw freying but still intact (shown in photos), throat mic, plug and function perfectly. All straps are fully adjustable, and the data label is still intact indicating, LKpW101, Ln. Some slight corrosion on some of the metal fittings, however this is normal for the age. The cellophane covers for the ear phones are also still fully intact, but they are cracking, due to the age! This is a smaller size… As it was used in combat, and as such, features some slight stains, wear, and marks along the throat mic straps and ear phones. A FANTASTIC combat-worn example, PERFECT for any collection or display! This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\WW II (1939-45)\Original Period Items\Germany\Hats & Helmets”.
