Believe it’s an M 35. The inside markings are ET 66 other number is 5772. I do not have any information on it. Has some rust around the rim of the helmet otherwise helmet is in very good shape. The inside liner is missing the chinstrap. And the liner leather is torn appears to have aluminum to hold the liner, and the strap holders are aluminum and squared. Paint looks to be very authentic, but I cannot verify this??

For your consideration is an exceptional German M40 helmet exhibiting the scarce DAK Afrika field-applied camouflage. This distinctive finish-applied by select Wehrmacht personnel during Germany’s Afrika campaign-was intended to harmonize with the warm tones of the desert environment. In contrast to the more familiar green, tan, and brown camouflage schemes, this rare DAK variant stands out as an uncommon and visually compelling example of front-line adaptation. A helmet of notable character and historical interest, worthy of the discerning Axis helmet collector.

For your consideration is an exceptional German M40 helmet exhibiting the scarce Bunker Grey field-applied camouflage with wire. This distinctive finish-applied by select Wehrmacht personnel stationed along the Atlantic Wall, in urban strongpoints, and within concrete fortifications-was intended to harmonize with the stark tones of fortified environments. In contrast to the more familiar green, tan, and brown camouflage schemes, this rare grey variant stands out as an uncommon and visually compelling example of front-line adaptation. A helmet of notable character and historical interest, worthy of the discerning Axis helmet collector.

WW2 German Helmet, Restored M40 With Camouflage Cover. She’ll has been found in the ground, rusted I guess, they used filler to bring back the shape and they done it quite well Hard to see on them vent holes which model it is, if they were pressed out – M40 or plugged M35, I guess it’s a M40 leftover of the shell stamping is still visible helmet cover has been made of original German Zeltbahn, splittertarn camo, I don’t think it has been made during second war, I I think it’s the early post war made in Czech republic on original machinery. See the photos of the item and it’s condition. Check my other listings thanks.
