WWII GERMAN ROLLED EDGE COMBAT HELMET. ALL ORIGINAL & AS FOUND. This WWII German rolled edge combat helmet belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away. This WWII German rolled edge combat helmet was period made in Germany, still has a majority of it’s original paint and was apparently issued without a decal being applied (see photos). The helmet show expected wartime use & wear and has a few small dents and areas of paint loss (see photos). The liner is mostly complete and appears oil darkened (see photos). Two fingers are broken, there is a small split to the liner seam at the rear and a partial chinstrap remains in place (see photos). The interior rim has a size stamp that appears to be ET66 and there is some light topical rusting to the helmet interior (see photos). The rivets all appear to be original to the helmet and I have attached a close-up photo of the decal area where I can see no traces of a decal ever being applied (see photos). This early style WWII German combat helmet is as found and is uncleaned overall. It shows expected wartime use/ageing. It would be excellent for display with a bringback collection or as part of a combat use display. It is guaranteed a period piece as described. Interesting piece of history. WWII German wehrmacht M35 green wood chip camo stahlhelm helmet veteran estate. Reinforced aluminum liner bands are dated 1938 and quite a bit of camo paint is applied to them and to the inner rim over the factory smooth green paint which is visible in many areas. All pin washers are present, right pin is a bit loose. Leather liner is quite dark but complete. The drawstring looks to be part of a shoelace and chinstrap is absent. Shell is stamped ET64, lot number 3950. Externally the olive colored rough texture camo paint is the second layer or camo, beneath that a darker green camo finish had been applied and it is this layer that is visible to the inner rim. The semi glossy olive green camo layer covers about 70% of the outer shell, where it has chipped away, especially to the upper dome. Both the factory smooth green paint and the first darker green camo paints are clearly visible. Collectively the pins have about half their painted finish. Another original item from.
