Item offered is the original WW2 German M35 helmet with camouflage finish. Complete with a liner, a chinstrap and three split pins. The helmet is a size 68 which fits 60-61 hat sizes. Please see the pics and more details below. More HD pics are also available on demand. Not a Spanish, or a post-war German helmet or a recent Chinese replica. The helmet is free of cracks, dents or rust pitting. The helmet shell was carefully examined prior to restoration. The helmet shell was painted in the correct field gray (feldgrau) finish. Then, the second layer of three-color camo. Was applied to give the otter shell rough texture. The shell is fitted with a reproduction liner that is new but made to exact specifications. The outer band is marked in the same way as the original M31s were. There is a 1940 dated acceptance stamp, matching 1940 dated split pins. The liner, specially created by a professional leather craftsman, is made of the correct grades of calfskin leather and finished to exact original specifications. The chin strap leather is tanned exactly as originals to get the proper texture and is die-cut for correct sharp edges. All stitching is precisely as originals. For your consideration: a rare and immaculate genuine World War 2 German uniform and helmet. This is no reproduction! Uniform contains wool jacket/tunic, black pair of wool knee/boot pants, 2 pair of NEW, UNWORN WITH TAGS green pairs of wool knee/boot pants that matches jacket, and a Luftwaffe helmet. There are no exterior stains, tears, rips, moth holes, dry rot, blood, etc. This artifact is IMMACULATE and you will never see another one like it in your lifetime! The ultimate gift for the history buff! Jacket is immaculate and barely looks worn; it has all buttons; decorated with epilet on right shoulder, silver metal rank patch on right side of collar, rank patch on left side of collar. Right arm has N. Patch with eagle on the hakenkreuz. Left arm still has traces of the red hakencruz armband; the Allies had the Germans rip it off their uniforms and use it to polish the Allies boots, so these are rarely ever found on uniforms. On lower left arm there is a diamond shaped black patch with silver thread; shows eagle, circle and hakencruz. Four outer pockets with silver-colored buttons, one inner pocket with button, additional hand sewn inner pocket obviously added on by the soldier himself; a very personal touch. Interior of jacket also has NSKK patch and serial number. Black Pair of Wool Pants: All buttons intact. Has button crotch, side pockets with buttons, right rear pocket with buttons, coin pocket on right front. Has buttons for suspenders and also has belt loops. There are various manufacturing stamps on inside of pants. Cloth hook in back for hanging on a peg. Shows mild signs of wear. Green Pair of Wool Pants #1: NEVER WORN, still has original TAGS! Button crotch, front pockets with buttons, right rear pocket with buttons, coin pocket in right front. Boot legs secure with buttons. Buttons for suspenders, no belt loops. Buckle in rear to tighten pants. Tag says “Schwerin 61/86 and 92/100″. Manufacturing stamps on inside of pants. I was told these khaki pants were the pinks or dress pants for the NSKK. The black pants were the daily uniform. Obviously this young man never got a chance to wear his dress pants. Green Pair of Wool Pants #2: NEVER WORN, still has original TAGS! Tag says “Schwerin 69/94 and 102/106″. Original World War 2 German Luftwaffe Helmet! This is an ORIGINAL World War 2 German Luftwaffe iron helmet it is NOT a replica, and was NOT acquired by grave robbing! It has NOT been altered nor “restored” in any way such as repainting, etc. It contains approximately 95% of the original rough texture field gray factory paint. It has the original chin strap with adjustable buckle as well as what I was told was the original. Adjustable leather comfort liner/insert and drawstring. [this artifact has been in our care since 1972 and has never been altered or changed by us in any manner]. The Split pin rivets are fully intact. There are minimal sweat stains in the liner, but no tears; it is surprisingly supple; it is stamped size 60. Leather chin strap shows signs of wear but no tears and is still supple. The chin strap is stamped Rahm and Kampmann Wuppertal 1941. There are light scratches and slight oxidation on the iron helmet here and there as is to be expected from an item that is over 75 years old and saw combat. It has a beautiful original patina. This helmet was hit with at least 3 bullets as the marks prove. The left side of helmet shows a decal of the Luftwaffe insignia eagle with open wings holding the swastika in its right talon. This Luftwaffe decal is the Second Pattern Luftwaffe Decal. I was told it rates approximately 90% intact. This is a single sided decal helmet; in March 1940 the German High Command canceled the double-sided decal helmet with the National Colors decal on it. The helmet is stamped ET68 which means it was possibly manufactured by the Eisenhuttenwerke firm in Thale, Germany? The lot number appears to be 2202. In addition: Cards were found in the left pocket of the uniform jacket. They came out of cigarette packages and could be redeemed for pictures of the leader or other images such as “Our Great Homeland”, “Germany Awake”, “Olympics 1932″, etc. NSKK History: Many young men in the Hitler Youth were drafted into the NSKK [National Socialist Motorized Corp]. The NSKK started out kind of like a AAA roadside assistance, as these young men were trained to fix anything with a motor. Later they were guards or drivers for the SA. After the fall of the SA [the Night of Long Knives], the NSKK were commonly drafted into the Heer or regular army, transporting supplies or troops, fixing Panzer tanks, etc. The owner of this uniform was a driver and guard in the NSKK. He later ended up in the Luftwaffe. All these items belonged to him. Sadly his Luftwaffe uniform, jack boots, ¾ length leather coat and leather belts were stolen. This is all that remains. I have been the keeper of this uniform and helmet since 1972 and it has been carefully stored since it came into my care. There are no moth holes, tears, blood, exterior stains, wear spots, dry rot, etc. This IS the real thing. Own a one-of-a-kind remarkable piece of world history!
