I DID CAREFULLY REMOVE THE LINER. WHICH IS MARKED AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS. THE LINER IS NOT PERFECT, AND SOMEONE IN. THE PAST HAS WRITTEN ON IT. THE INSIDE IS STAMPED.. M40 SD Heer tropical camo, SE64, Lot Nr. Nice M40 SD tropical camo helmet. The shell is a SE64, Lot Nr. 446, feldgrau finish is wartime painted with tan desert camo paint, some of which has worn away, exposing the feldgrau. The zinc-coated, unreinforced steel M31 liner band is not marked. Leather pigskin liner pads are in very good condition, no damage or pull-throughs. Marked with the size 57. M1940 ET62 German Helmet no decal, phased out in. 1940 by German high command. I got this helmet and two others from a friend who has an excellent. Collection of German WWII artifacts. These are extra helmets he wasn’t displaying. I will list two other helmets as well so look at my other items.
