Genuine ww2 German helmet not a modern copy. Complete with liner and chinstrap. Very nice example no dents gouges or rusted pitting. Left inner side stamped Q64 for maker Quist. Has a batch number stamped on rear inner. See photos for condition description.

Original German WW II Helmet Chin Strap 1942 Maker Marked. The strap brown leather with dark brown stitching. It is maker marked: C. Korn over ALZEY over 1942. The strap is in excellent condition with tight stitching and is still very flexible and and pliable. The leather has no tears or cracks and both fastening studs are present. The buckel has patina but is solid including the prong. This is a rare and excellent all original well marked and dated chin strap, ready to be mounted on your helmet the minute you remove it from the packaging. I have collected these for years and they are becoming harder to find. The outer side of the strap is a polished more shiny finish and the inner side of the strap is darker brown black in color. This strap shows age as it should from 1942 and because it was actually worn on a helmet, so don’t expect it to be a pristine museum display piece, new out of the box item. However it is in excellent condition. You will be very happy to have this in your colection. This is a nice late war smaller sized M40 or M42 helmet liner. Both helmet models will accept this. However its best suited for the M42. Pics taken in direct sun and out of direct sun. Dated 1944, this liner is marked. MARKED, but hard to see. This liner is supple with a steel liner band that was most prevalent during 1940 thru 1945. Typical steel construction, with 8 finger leather liner that is still very supple. Hard to find original item that would compete any size 60 M40-M42 helmet. I ORIGINALLY HAD TWO DIFFERENT PICS OF LINERS. AS I HAVE SEVERAL. IT IS RIGHT NOW. Thank you for looking!
