Original WWII M42 EF64 helmet with liner and field replacement cloth chinstrap. There is a gold rectangle painted on the front, possibly from a kid’s playtime use post-war. Liner leather is heavily flaking and very floppy and the cloth chinstrap is torn but still displays over the brim. This helmet has a slight green tint to the paint and displays very nicely. Believe it’s an M 35. The inside markings are ET 66 other number is 5772. I do not have any information on it. Has some rust around the rim of the helmet otherwise helmet is in very good shape. The inside liner is missing the chinstrap. And the liner leather is torn appears to have aluminum to hold the liner, and the strap holders are aluminum and squared. Paint looks to be very authentic, but I cannot verify this??

The patch in the picture is modern and merely Velcro’d on and can be easily removed and is an American national guard patch.
