Very nice refurbished NS66 m42 helmet with completely intact and defect free shell. Re applied Paint is almost identical as original and has no decals, as this is a late war production according to the serial number.

WW2 German M42 Helmet With Liner & Chinstrap (NS66). Evidence of whitewash paint is apparent although darkened mostly on left side. The back of the skirt is stamped D 080 or D 060 over NS 66. Chinstrap is also stamped with makers mark and date, I believe it’s stamped Koln-Mulheim 1940 can’t read the rest to well. It does have a cut/nick at one of the chinstrap holes, Liner string is missing and there are cobwebs and micro “attic debris ” behind liner and in between liner and helmet shell. Leather is partly stiff but not necessarily brittle, chinstrap is fragile at the cut. Wear shows throughout this salty piece. For your consideration is is an Original WW2 German M42 Helmet Combat Steel NS66 Liner Black. Thank you for looking! Helmet is a M42, its been painted black post war. The liner and chinstrap are period originals but have been dyed red brown for use by the Norwegian Army. The original pins that hold the leather to the band are paper clip type these were added by the Norwegians when the helmets were refurbished for their use in the late 40s/ 50s. Very nice and original German helmet that is refurbished. The model is M42 and the size is 66/59. The shell is an original wartime and has the visible makers mark (NS66) and lotnumber (D440) stamps. The paint is postwar in feldgrau stumpfmatt with added aluminium oxide like the Germans did during WW2. The liner and chinstrap are reproductions of very high quality. Specifications and stamps are identical to WW2 helmet parts. Decals in stock are Wehrmacht, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine. It’s also possible to change the color (for example schiefergrau or luftwaffe blue) or have a camo pattern added. Several options are available at no extra cost. The helmet can be aged if desired. Very nice helmet for collector or reenactor. Pleas note: These are real shells, that are over 80 years old and survived a world war. Some small dents, scratches or repairs may (or may not) be present.
