M42 Single Decal Helmet. In good untouched condition, liner, chin strap, all as per the pictures. I was told that it was found during the Italian campaign and was brought back as a souvenir. By a Sgt Chapel who was in the Military Police, fought in the Italian Campaign, was stationed in Austria at the end of the War and was present at the Nuremburg trials. There is some hand writing inside the helmet on the leather which says “Neukirchen” – I presume this to be the owner’s surname.
