Original German M40, wartime issue ET64, with lot number of 1179. “Factory Fresh”, Restoration, done in German Field Gray Dark paint with correct texture. Very nice Ukrainian made, 1940 dated, reproduction M31 liner in size 64/57 – NO CHIN STRAP Helmet shell is in excellent condition, Factory+Size and Lot Number stamps are nice and crisp. Pictures taken on a cloudless day, in direct sunlight to show the correct Matte finish of the paint. 1941 dated, reproduction split pins. This Helmet is a real looker, absolutely excellent condition.. !!! Helmet was brought down to bare metal, what very little rust that was present, was removed. Shell was painted in period correct, oil based enamel paint, German Field Gray Dark, with texture. Paint was cured in paint oven and then an excellent reproduction, 1940 marked, 64/57 liner was installed. The helmet is ready for Decal, or camouflage cover.
