German WWII World War Two Parade black paint rare cool style with one decal and nice liner. I now believe that this is a German naval helmet myself as the decal is gold colored and the helmet is a none magnetic material due to the many back up batteries on German WWII naval ships plus it is made out of a none corrosive quality (not steel) due to the salt water. It has a metal edge but the main material looks to be vulkanfibre. My son who was a sailor has bad knees now from doing such things. Coming out of Holland however further makes me believe that is a naval helmet due to the German naval bases at Antwerp. Also the chin strap style and design would hold it down onto your head during high seas. I also own a brass (painted black /none iron) iron cross that was also given to German sailors who earned it but made in brass due to the same reasons as given above before a directive was given by German authorities to stop this practice and go back to making all iron crosses in iron and silver only.
