This is an extremely fine World War II Single Decal Camouflaged M38 Fallschirmjäger Helmet REPLICA that is in excellent condition. Although a replica, this helmet is a real eye catcher that is proper and correct in almost every respect. It is beautifully camouflaged in the tortoise pattern with weathered tan and brown brush applied paint. The shell is fitted with the early three-hole spanner bolts. There is a weathered denazified Luftwaffe decal on the left that has been painted around in a triangular shape. The tan colored leather liner is correctly marked, and the blue leather chinstrap harness are both faithful and accurate renditions of the original. All the harness hardware is functional. This is an exceptionally fine-looking example that suits the bill if you are not looking to spend 12K on an original. A VERY convincing helmet of the type used on Crete and in North Africa in 1942.

Casque allemand ww2 wehrmacht M40 Single Decal Heer German Army Helmet. This M40 Single Decal Heer German Army Helmet is an honest, one-look original example of the classic German combat helmet. The shell is a beautiful and desirable M40 made by Quist, that retains over 95 percent of the original, factory applied textured field gray paint finish, with some traces of wear, mostly to the top of the dome. Where the paint is worn, the bare steel has taken on a nice, old patina. The Heer decal is the textbook Bigfoot style that one expects to see on these Quist helmets, and is nearly 99 percent intact, with only light patina from storage over time. The split pins that hold the liner in place are intact and tight. Inside, this helmet features a typical wartime liner system, with a galvanized band. The leather is the typical Quist style, and is complete and still supple, showing only moderate honest wear. The original draw string is present. The long side of the chinstrap is broken, with only a small portion remaining on the liner bale; the short side is still complete, with a typical wartime steel buckle. The inside of the skirt is size and maker marked Q64 with the lot number 295. This German Army helmet is a very desirable piece, that displays extremely well. Potentially all Original German WW2 Blau Division Helmet M35. There are differences of opinion on whether the Decals were applied during the war. It looks to me like there are 2 failed attempts made to apply the decal properly. The two previous decals were removed but they kept the third. Item Description : M40 German helmet with camouflage helmet on the exterior. Helmet paint looks very similar to Normandy color scheme with the browns, yellows, and greens. Original German WWII Army Heer M40 Named Single Eagle Decal Helmet Q64 M4746. This is PRE-OWNED and still in GREAT CONDITION for its age, there are scratches and rust spots on the metal, the inside liner is in tack, but it does have holes and cracking from age and the neck strap is broken off. Also inside is the original owner’s name hand engraved. (See All Photos, as they are a part of our description). This is a German World War II Helmet Army Heer M40 in Size Q64 with a Liner Size of 57, it is also stamped inside with #4574 which is either the Lot Number or Serial Number. The left side of the helmet features a crisp Heer eagle decal. All three liner retaining pins are intact. The drawstring in full length on the liner is still in place. The interior of the helmet still has the original 57 leather liner intact, the liner is in solid condition with signs age. Also on the liner it is stamped: W. The original chin strap is missing there is only a small piece on the left side. Stamped on the interior neck guard there is 4574 with is either a Lot Number or a Serial Number. Stamped on the interior left side is Q64, which is the size. On the interior right side, there is a name hand engraved that looks like it says: “Wallner Fritz”.
