Original WWII M42 ET64 (yes, size 64, it is just stamped poorly) stahlhelm with original split pin rivets, refinished post-war by the Czechs. The split pins appear to have M35 apple green paint with a little overspray from the black. These helmets are very tough to find nowadays, as most were destroyed by collectors. This one is in good condition with a few spots of paint loss. International buyers: Do NOT ask me to lie on custom’s forms.

Item offered is the original WW2 German M42 helmet with camouflage rubber inner tube band. Complete with a liner, a chinstrap and three split pins. The helmet is a size 64 which fits 57-56 hat sizes. Please see the pics and more details below. More HD pics are also available on demand. Not a Spanish, or a post-war German helmet or a recent Chinese replica. The helmet is free of cracks, dents or rust pitting. The helmet shell was carefully examined prior to restoration. The helmet shell was painted in the correct field gray (feldgrau) finish. The shell is fitted with a reproduction liner that is new but made to exact specifications. The outer band is marked in the same way as the original M31s were. There is a 1941 dated acceptance stamp. The liner, specially created by a professional leather craftsman, is made of the correct grades of calfskin leather and finished to exact original specifications. The chin strap leather is tanned exactly as originals to get the proper texture and is die-cut for correct sharp edges. All stitching is precisely as originals. The aluminum buckle is stamped from specially made dies. The split-pins are exact copies made with specially stamped heads and inset prongs.
