Repro WWII German Helmet Normandy Camo with Chicken Wire + Helmet Display Stand. How I created this design. Starting with a quality repro German helmet (From IMA-USA). I then I painted the shell in the 3 color Normandy pattern (Dunkel Gelb, Black Green and Armor Brown). After curing the paint I painstakingly weathered the helmet by beating the daylights out if it with gravel, hard earth and concrete as liberal scraping and sanding. I then created the chicken wire basket held in place by thick bailing wire. After weathering the liner I applied a chemical compound to patina the wire basket/bailing wire. After hours if work you have the results you see before you. Painting, weathering and netting all done by hand in the USA!
