AUTHENTIC WWII GERMAN LUTFTSCHUTZ HELMET. This is a helmet from Germany. It has its original decal with Eagle and LUFTSCHUTZ which translates to Air Defense. The underside of the brim is marked indicating that its sale is approved according to the Air Protection law. It is also marked Koptweite 54 which translates to Head width 54. There s also a paper disc shaped sticker that appears to have the name of the owner handwritten on it, but it is hard to read. This listing is for one original German M42 Heer helmet. Marked CKL size 66. Ive been told its a Kriegsmarine as well which I suspect it very well could be. Its very much gold in color and doesnt appear to have ever been silver. Upon very close inspection I can lightly detect what appears to be the ridge that was only on KM decals. Pictures dont do it justice any. (you be the judge)The shell and liner remain in good condition showing regular use. Helmet definitely saw use and has scratches to the top as would any combat helmet from being dropped/put down upside down constantly. The helmet still has part of the original decal which has toned over time and has flaked off partially. (KM decals famously known for flaking decals)The helmet is all original and would look very nice in a collection. Helmet is also named in the liner!!!!!! This is an all original Kriegsmarine German M42 helmet marked Ckl and size 66. This helmet retains about Id say around a little over 50 percent of the original Gold decal but is flaking which is very common among the KM decals. KM helmets are very sought after and are very rarely come across. As Im aware some heer decals age and look like Kriegsmarine decals but I have studied the decal very closely and there is an even gold color throughout with no sign of it being silver. Heres your chance to get an honest untouched original that would look good in your collection. HELMET IS ALSO NAMED ON THE LINER.
