Vintage Original WW1/WW2 German M16/M17 Steel Military Helmet – World War 2. Please view all pics for condition. Shows wear from being used and from storage. Surfaces have some scuffs, and scratches. The helmet has surface rust, which I haven’t attempted to clean. Has a crack in the top back area of the helmet, which is pictured. Helmet is missing the liner inside. Still a nice original German M16 or M17 helmet. Measures: 12″ Long x 8 5/8″ Wide x 6 3/4 Tall. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Original ww1/ww2 German double decal transitional Helmet with Liner. Helmet marked size 56 but seems larger sturmpanzer lugs are size 68. 80% of the Olive green paint is remaining. Rare WW1/WW2 German M18 Transitional Single Decal German Army Helmet. A lovely and rare helmet to find. I picked it up through a house clearance and just water washed the outside. It has most of its original paint colour and remanence of the original decal. If you’d like some more detailed photos, please let me know. This was found during a house clearance earlier this year. This incredible piece of history is an authentic original German WWI / WWII M18 DD Heer (Stahlhelm) or (Steel) transitional helmet. In Excellent structural condition, especially for a piece of Veteran combat issued gear that made its way through both World Wars! No heavy penetrating rust that typically eats its way through the steel either. This one’s managed to hold its integrity, showing only light surface rust and holds a natural patina following its original paint job, transitional and now to an oxidized state that holds many stories. This piece originally started life out as a German WWI helmet, and then re-issued to the German Wehrmacht in the mid 1930s. Batch number stamped on inside of helmet along with ET indicating it was manufactured by Eisenhuttenwerk AG, Thale Harz. Size 64 is a nice large size that can accommodate liners from 56cm to 58cm or US 7 to 7 1/4. Size 64 shells are harder to find and are therefore more valuable to a collector. The bolts on each side of the helmet were used to support an optional shield, the (Stirnpanzer AH-6032). The bolts are hollow for ventilation under the helmet.
