World War Two Vet bring back German Helmet from a German military Store Room never used. This is a vet bring back WW2 German helmet, This helmet is super clean, I take photos in high detail so the photos look worse than the helmet looks to the naked eye. The helmet is darker than the photos show. The size is 59 as seen stamped onto the head liner, and the leather is in super clean and soft for being 77 years old! It hasn’t been messed with, the head liner is tight to the helmet and no signs of being changed out. Offered today is a lovely example of a Model 1942 (M42) German steel helmet from the Second World War. This helmet was chromed by the Veteran who was active in the motorcycle community following his service. Faint traces of a Swaz decal on the front from the helmets life in the motorcycle community – I imagine it could be removed with a product like goo-be-gone if you wished too. Unlike most chromed examples, this helmet retains its original liner and chinstrap, valuable items themselves if you wish to part it out. The liner is in nice condition with a small amount of the chinstrap missing as can be seen in the photographs I have provided. Draw string has been partially broken/small part missing as can be seen. Offered today is a lovely example of a Second World War German Model 1942 (M42) steel helmet. This helmet retains its original liner but is missing its chinstrap. Please note the crack and small dent to the helmets shell as well as the bending which has occurred on the liner band in the spot where the shell is cracked. I do not believe this helmet has been disturbed within recent years and would feel comfortable saying this damage occurred during the World War Two period, possibly in combat. This helmet comes to me from the relative of the Mexican-American veteran who brought it home to Michigan as a souvenir of his service. Recently out of the woodwork is this M35 or M40 WW2 German camo helmet. Exterior is in good condition, as is the interior. Liner is somewhat dry but complete. The chinstrap broke at some point and someone taped the pieces back together. A really cool piece! German WW 2 M40 helmet Vet bring back, marked DN 501 I believe it to be a Quist helmet according to my book. There is a hand painted WW 2 Army Air Force insignia on the front. A penciled signature of the German solider [Korn Werner] in the liner. The split pins are tight all around. Part of chin strap is present – as shown. Liner is as you see it.
