During World War II, a total of about 13.6 million soldiers served in the German Army. Army personnel were made up of volunteers and conscripts. The Stahlhelm (‘steel helmet’) is a German military steel combat helmet intended to provide protection against shrapnel and fragments of grenades. The German Army began to replace the traditional boiled leather Pickelhaube (‘spiked helmet’) with the Stahlhelm in 1916. Beau casque original WW2 de la Luftwaffe. Modèle 1935 à double décalcomanies avec cerclage M35 renforcé (modifié 36) et en grande taille de coque 66cm avec un cuir en taille 58cm. Les marquages du liner indique une fabrication en 1939. Coque fabrication Q pour. Numéro de lot 4622. Initiale “PL” sur le bord. Comme l’immense majorité des M35, il fut reconditionné en 1940 pour cacher les peintures brillantes. La peinture primaire feldgrau claire lisse et brillante avec les 2 décalcomanies fut recouverte d’une peinture bleue nuit mate texturée (très finement grenelée) à des fins antireflets. Avec cette nouvelle peinture, une nouvelle décalcomanie fut posée. La croix n’a pas été grattée, elle est juste usée. Belle pièce, 100% authentique. (mettre dans le panier au préalable et demander le total pour toucher la réduction). Je facture à prix coûtant si bien que la réduction peut être de 100% pour les envois groupés.
