WWII WW2 German Original M34 Civil Police Fire Helmet Combat Stahlhelm?? Outstanding example that is in very nice overall condition. Nice black paint finish on the exterior with no dent or dings. Interior is just as nice with the original liner, pad and chinstrap. The liner is stamped size 56 and even retains the original drawstring to tighten. On the edge of the liner it also retains the leather tabs to attach the leather neck cover that you see sometimes. Fine helmet that would make a great addition to any collection! This Late War WW2 German M34 Fire Police Polizei Civil Stahlhelm Helmet is in excellent condition and looks as if it may never have been issued. The original black finish shows only minor signs of age and wear most likely from storage. This is the harder to find Late War variant of the M34 that has the rounded flares and folded edges that more closely resemble the M35, M40 and M42 combat helmets. The helmet is unmarked, which is typical for examples made during this time. It measures about 9.5 in width at the widest point between flares. It looks as if no decals were ever attached and there are no immediate signs of a liner ever being installed, however I can see the faintest signs of wear around the liner rivet holes. This is a very curious example of yet another Late War variation on the classic Stahlhelm and would be perfect on display exactly as it is, or could be “finished off” with the right parts and pieces – you decide! For sale here is a good looking WW2 German Civil Or Parade Helmet W/ Bullet Or Shrapnel Damage. All three projectiles, all of different sizes and seemingly coming at slightly different angles all exited the rear of the helmet in the same large hole. You can look through each entry hole at the entry angle, and see right out of the back of the helmet. The helmet is a light weight steel helmet with a field gray paint. There are no signs of an over paint. The shell shows appropriate age, use, and wear. The shell has a rolled rim, and the liner pins have not been removed. The damage peeled away a good amount of paint around it, and there is similar age darkening on the exposed steel to the other areas of paint loss. Again, i don’t know what hit this as the entry holes are mostly round, but they are definitely all caused by different sized projectiles from different angles that all exited at one point. Inside, the leather shows significant age, sweat staining, and some surface finish loss. A few of the fingers are missing and most of the lace holes are torn open. The long side of the chin strap is broken off, and the buckle side is all present but looks fragile. This leather is all pig skin and is weaker than standard combat helmets. The drawstring is present. The liner is torn/ripped away from the damage at the appropriate points. The back side of the damage hits show good age. One of the rear liner pads appears to have been named, but it is now illegible. Regardless, this is an interesting and conversation worthy helmet. You will be pleased. This is an original German army WW2 helmet shell that was refurbished by the Czech government after the war for civil defense. Since there were many leftover German helmet shells after WW2 the Czech government took these helmet and repainted them black (the color for civil defense) and replaces the liner if needed. Many types of helmets were used for civil defense and German helmets were commonalty used for it. The role of civil defense was to assist the fire service and the military in case of acts of war. This particular shell is a M35 so it has the rolled edges as well as the grommet vents. The is is marked NS62 that indicates it is a size 62 shell that can take a size 54 or 55 helmet liner. The number on the inside back of the helmet skirt is the manufacturing batch number. The helmet used to have a fire service emblem on the from but the 3mm holes, that used to be there that held the emblem have been very well welded and sanded smooth with the shell. There are no dents nor holes in the shell so you will honestly like this shell. The helmet you see in the pictures is the actual one you will be sent. Hi folks, up for sale today is a super German M35 beaded civil helmet. The helmet is well marked inside and is a size 62. The beaded helmets were rejects from combat helmets that did not meet production standards for army issue. This has a civil liner inside and original chinstrap.
