A fascinating group of German Luftwaffe equipment from the Second World War, combining an aircraft instrument with flight equipment and personal military equipment. The central and most distinctive item of the group is the Fl. 22855 electric trim-position indicator (elektrischer Stellungsanzeiger für Trimmung). Associated with German aircraft including the Messerschmitt Me 262 and Focke-Wulf Fw 190, as well as other Luftwaffe aircraft. The instrument was used to provide the pilot with a remote indication of the aircraft’s trim position, an important part of maintaining the correct attitude and balance of the aircraft in flight. The instrument retains its period luminous markings. The internal pointers visibly fluoresce under UV light, as shown in the photographs. The group also includes a brown leather German Luftwaffe flying helmet (Fliegerkopfhaube) of lightweight, non-radio construction, without integrated headphones or radio wiring. Its configuration is consistent with the simpler summer-type flying helmets used by Luftwaffe aircrew. Completing the group is an aluminium Luftwaffe EM/NCO belt buckle (Koppelschloss) featuring the characteristic Luftwaffe eagle and wreath design. Together, the three pieces create a compact and visually attractive Luftwaffe aviation display, representing three different aspects of German wartime aviation: the aircraft, the airman and his equipment. A particularly interesting group for collectors of German WWII aviation, Luftwaffe equipment and the Messerschmitt Me 262. Condition: vintage condition consistent with age and use. The instrument has no apparent damage and the glass is in very good condition. Please refer to the photographs for further details.

Original WW2 German Luftwaffe D/D M-35 helmet. Helmet is stamped SE68 large desirable size by Sachsiche Emaillier und Stanzwerke, Lauter (SE) who changed name to HKP later during the war. To be fair I’m unsure if the liner is the original or first issue to this shell as it appears to be a m40 liner, this is not to be unexpected because German helmets had to replace liners from use and wear much like other nations at the time including the US M1 helmet liner. So obviously the liner was issued with M40 liner or replaced time period, which I personally believe was the case. I have seen quite a few original unaltered M35’s like that. Helmet was painted with some cheap black paint that rubbed off rather easily. Most of original blue grey paint is there, including extra labels. Leather liner is still solid but has started flaking in some places. There is no chinstrap, exactly as I received. Some pictures were taken outside on different days with varying degrees of sunshine and clouds and some were taken inside. I would say the third to the last picture is the true color (pic taken outside with lots of sun). Helmet looks very nice with most of black paint removed. So helmet looks like last 3 pictures with very little black paint left. I will be happy and highly recommend to provide additional pictures upon request. Be sure to check out my other WW2 Militaria listings!
