Original German M42 – helmet from Heer. This is an honest German helmet without any kind of reproduction parts. The helmet has not been restored, except that a thin layer of yellow paint from the 40’s has been removed. At a reasonable price, a. Helmet with a lot of history for a whole decade. During the war, the helmet served in Eastern Finnmark in Norway, on the Northern Front near Russia. After the war, it was used by the Varanger Battalion. The helmet was found in stock in Tana, along with several other helmets. The helmet has remnants of the well known German green color and the helmet has most likely been in stock since the late 40’s. There are a few remnants of a yellow paint after use for a few years immediately after the war in Norway. This is one of the very first helmets that was reused, and was only used for a short period. This helmet has a German chin strap and liner, original splinters and original leather that has been recycled. The outside of the leather may have been darker colored. On the inside, the leather is not colored and stamped with German numbers 17 and 58. Sent from Norway to recipient all over the world.
