A genuine WW2 untouched BULGARIAN- GERMAN Steel helmet. This is complete with its original liner & chinstrap. It also has its original Double Decals and has been used by Bulgarian Troops attached to the German Army. One decal is the Bulgarian national shield and If you look at the fifth (5) image from the top you can see part of the other decal to the base of the picture. In March 1941 Bulgaria joined the Axis powers and in December 1941 it declared War on Britain and the US. In April 1941 it participated in the German led attack on Yugoslavia & Greece. Some of these special Bulgarian units rounded up certain civilians to be sent to camps. Around 98% of the M36 bulgarian helmets have the single national coloured decal, This is the first I have seen with this double decal in over 50 years of collecting. The helmet has been stored somewhere for many years and the leather liner has been badly eaten by bugs etc but the chinstrap and helmet shell plus the decals are good. The liner could easily be replaced if required. A very rare original wartime helmet.
