I originally got this from a 35th Div US veteran and the helmet is untouched with the exception of me adding a chin strap as it had no chin strap when I got if from the veteran many years ago. The helmet is VERY late WWII production and close the very end of the war. The paint is original and I have never touched the pot (other than to add the strap) since it was acquired from the man who brought it home. Helmet is a good size and fits my 7 3/8s head well.
