This is a German M40 Stahlhelm Helmet, made in Germany during World War II (1939-45). The helmet has some battlefield wear, adding to its historical significance. It is a great addition to any beginner militaria collection and perfect for display or educational purposes or reinacting. No National emblems present. Later in the war these were not used. Has decent headliner and chin strap. I believe this one may have been used post war as well which many were as war reparations and surplus. The shell is German.
