Original German WWII Woodchip Camo M35 DD Heer Helmet Battle Damaged
Up for sale a very nice and original German WWII 2 tone woodchip camouflaged helmet, sometimes referred to as an Italian / southern front camo. This helmet is absolutely stunning with rich colors, a rare paint variation, a combat history, a named skirt, and a complete liner and chinstrap! The helmet is fully covered with a rich green and yellow mixture of woodchip paint. Woodchip paint was sometimes used by the Germans for added camouflage and texture to the shell. Looking towards the front of the helmet, we can see two areas where the helmet was struck by small arms fire. Looking at the left facing side of the helmet, the red and black portions of the Tri-color decal can be noted peaking through the woodchip camouflage. On the back side of the helmet we can lastly see one indentation where another small arms round struck the inside of the shell and is protruding outwards. Looking at the inside of the helmet, the leather liner is complete and still in great condition. The leather has darkened likely from use during the war and especially around the brim of the leather we can note sweat stains from its original owner. Moving towards the rear skirt, we can see that the shell is nicely named to. For more information, feel free to check out our website! Instagram : BSR Militaria Facebook : BSR Militaria.
