Original WWII German M40 or M42 liner band and leather assembly, dated 1942. Size 56, so it would work in a size 64 shell. Leather has been dyed or painted post-war and the leather rivets replaced, probably by the Norwegian army. Band and leather are in excellent condition, the leather is soft and pliable.
