This item is from the DAK Afrika Korps, “grouping”. The person I bought it from said it came from the veterans estate. A Pith helmet and a scope from an 88 mm, used for house fighting in Italy. The Scope is in used condition, and painted tan. It works and can be adjusted. There’s a tag attached to the scope. It states, German 88mm artillery Sight captured by U. Army Lt WH Wilson in Afrika + Italy used to look around corners during house to house fighting. There’s a rope attached to the scope. I think it was used to wrap around the wearers neck. The pith is in decent condition. With stain marks from the chin strap.
