Infantry helmet, German Wehrmacht, family heirloom. Backstory; My grandfather was an antiaircraft half track driver in Gen Patton’s third army. Active through Italy, France, Belgium and the Battle of the Bulge. It was apparently abandoned in a fencerow in Belgium. Possibly from a soldier taken prisoner.
