WWI GERMAN M42 HELMET with Chinstrap & New Replaced Helmet Liner. This is an Excellent Condition German M42 Helmet with Very Good Used Chinstrap and New Replaced Leather Liner. The old liner was dry rotted. The Liner is Stamped a Size 58cm (See Photo). It is painted a very dark Blackish Feldgrau. I know that some Panzergrenadier Units in the Panzer Division “Gross Deutschland” and Pannzergrenadier Units in the 116th Panzer Division “Windhunds” wore Helmets this color. The name “GEFREITER STAAT” is painted in white inside the back of the shell (see photo). Note: The Foam Head and Tinted Goggles are NOT INCLUDED with this Helmet.
