WWII GERMAN M42 HELMET withHEAVY HEMP CAMO NET COMPLETE
This is a killer World War II German Model 1942 helmet with heavy hemp camouflaged net the is in excellent condition. The shell is with a smooth dark gray/green finish and is completely undamaged. Affixed to the helmet is the original heavy hemp rope type camouflage net. It is undamaged and intricately attached to the helmet. This is definitely not a later addition but as it was when brought home at the end of the Second World War. The interior back skirt is stamped with the lot number, 1522. The interior of the right skirt is incised with, ET 64 indicating manufacture by the The EisenhĂĽttenwerke in Thale and a size 64-centimeter shell. The owners name, Majewski is inked into the right side of the liner. The leather liner is cream colored and remains soft, supple and is without with a little wear around the lower edge. It is marked, 57 and would be compatible with a 64 centimeters shell. The original dome sting runs through the tips of the fingers. The liner retaining rivets are factory tight and have never been removed from the shell. The chinstrap is full, supple and un cut. It remains a fine-looking example in excellent, undamaged condition.
