Beautiful dark green camo Wehrmacht Heer Quist M40 helmet. Photos speak best and more if you scroll down! Beautiful Heer helmet with a lot of character. It’s a heavy M40 Quist, shell size Q64, lot number T1005. Original feldgrau paint, overpainted on the exterior in dark green with some brownish shades. The decal is approximately 60%-70% present, nicely aged (turned golden) ET. The chinstrap is not original but a field recovery, ingeniously done by the soldier. All other pieces are there and have not been messed with: I can’t take a picture of the aluminium liner stamp because it’s very tight and I don’t want to bend it too much, but I can read a “1940”. The leather is still soft, I could turn it inside out and it’s stamped B58. A faded name on the leather, I can’t make the surname, it could be “Rudolf Kopfer”. Washers are in order: the front ones move very slightly, but are not loose (they turn around a bit but don’t jump out). Feel free to ask questions.
