For sale is an original German WW2 relic condition M40 Helmet. No liner present and there are a few area of penetrations in the helmet from being out in the elements, but this helmet is in solid condition. I believe it was treated with some form of polyurethane at some time. There is the number 5 clearly visible on the inside reverse of the helmet. 20 years ago and it has been in my smoke free home for that time. The verbal identification given to me is that it was recovered in Bining, France near the German border. There are no offensive symbols on this item.
