Original WW II German M-35/40 Helmet. The helmet is maker marked Q 64 for Quist of Eslingen and the 64 is the size. It is Heat lot or batch 1234. Shell size 64 , 56 cm. The original zinc band with prongs, rivets and leather liner are all present. This helmet has never been touched, it is as it was brought home by the GI. The leather liner is still flexible and un-torn with original string tie. The original chinstrap has dried out and has one small crack about 1 1/2 inches from the buckle so I have included one additional WW II leather chin strap. This is original, although not maker marked. This chin strap has both studs and one buckle. The helmet has no dents and looks to be original paint. There are no decals. This is a nice, original, untouched, German helmet that saw use but not abuse. It has not been used as a flower pot. The rolled rim is smooth to the touch. Good quality and it has been stored in a cool dry place. There is a small amount of rust dust in the bottom and I have not attempted to move the liner to get at it, but it is minor.
