Original WW2 German helmet M42 with original liner and Army Eagle decal. I’m not allowed to show that side of the helmet here on this site. The liner is original and I treated it with mink oil long ago which has preserved it and kept it from getting dry and brittle. Helmet still has the hand written name of the soldier inside in small ink print on the liner (see picture) which appears to read “Lt Baie”. I acquired this helmet from my Uncle who was in D-Day and then participated in numerous other battles until the close of hostilities there. He had brought this helmet and numerous other items home with him after the war and in the 70’s, he began giving them to family members. I received the helmet and have cared for it for the past 45 years. Please look at the pictures carefully and if you need more, just let me know.
