This is an original EREL manufactured WW2 German Hamburg Police helmet shako hat from the World War II era. It is a militaria collectible item, made in Germany and originating from the United States. The helmet shako hat was worn by members of the Hamburg Police during and after the war.
Interesting piece, from what I’m told a salesmans sample of a German/Prussian Polizei Helmet, or Shako. It is in exceptional condition and a very cool display piece.
