WWII GERMAN ROLLED EDGE COMBAT HELMET. ALL ORIGINAL & AS FOUND. This WWII German rolled edge combat helmet belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away. This WWII German rolled edge combat helmet was period made in Germany, still has a majority of it’s original paint and was apparently issued without a decal being applied (see photos). The helmet show expected wartime use & wear and has a few small dents and areas of paint loss (see photos). The liner is mostly complete and appears oil darkened (see photos). Two fingers are broken, there is a small split to the liner seam at the rear and a partial chinstrap remains in place (see photos). The interior rim has a size stamp that appears to be ET66 and there is some light topical rusting to the helmet interior (see photos). The rivets all appear to be original to the helmet and I have attached a close-up photo of the decal area where I can see no traces of a decal ever being applied (see photos). This early style WWII German combat helmet is as found and is uncleaned overall. It shows expected wartime use/ageing. It would be excellent for display with a bringback collection or as part of a combat use display. It is guaranteed a period piece as described. Interesting piece of history.
