World War 2 German M40 (I think, correct me if I’m wrong) helmet. The helmet has some surface rust and the liner is in bad shape along with the remnants of the chin strap (really just short portions remain). This was brought back from the war by my grandpa who served as a rescue/firefighter on an airfield at Foggia, Italy. So he most likely traded for this or something. It was sitting in his attic for who knows how long. There is a stamp along the underside of the back, but I can’t make it out (see last picture).
